その最たるもののひとつが、梅雨の短さ。むしろ無いに等しく感じられるとも。ドカッとまとめてゲリラ的に降る亜熱帯のスコールの様な雨が多く、情緒もへったくれもありません。

そぼ降る雨なんて表現はどこ吹く風か。

In recent years, however, the climate has been changing so noticeably that the feeling of each season seems to be slowly losing its shape.
One of the clearest examples is how short the rainy season has become.
Rather than the gentle, steady rain we once associated with tsuyu, we now seem to get sudden, heavy downpours—almost like subtropical squalls.
The expression “soft, drizzling rain” feels as if it has drifted far away.

That is exactly why, at least through coffee,
I want to preserve the beauty of Japan’s seasonal rhythm.
